One thing I haven't really heard addressed is California's ever growing population. It seems everyone wants to live here. Now, being a native, and having visited various parts of the country, I realize that we probably experience the best weather conditions in the nation. But the cost of living has made even me think of packing up and heading to the awfully muggy, chigger infested, tornado alley Mid-West. So, why doesn't California's government just try to stop house construction, encourage people to move out of state, and keep people from moving to our state? That would drastically cut down on our water usage. Be glad that I don't have the decision-making power.
Here's one last thing crazy thing that I recently heard, something that you would only hear in Stockton, California. Is it a coincidence that Jerry Brown is now our governor? Apparently, there are people who say that he is the cause of our drought because last time he was our governor in 1975 - 1983, we also experienced a severe drought. Maybe Jerry Brown-Grass is the Anti-Christ, or the Devil himself, and he's making California a present-day Sodom and Gomorrah! Ah, I knew it! I bet if you look really closely at his forehead you will see the number 666. Verily, I say unto you, California is truly doomed!
